Workshop examples

1: Pinhole Camera Workshop (classic)
Construct your own pinhole camera from upcycled materials and learn to capture and develop images in our darkroom. Perfect for all abilities, this 2-3 hour workshop can run twice a day, accommodating up to 10 participants per session. We bring our pop-up darkroom gazebo, all the kit and chemistry. 

2a: Pinhole Camera Workshop (drop-in with Afghan Box)
Great for festivals and community events, this flexible workshop allows participants to use pre-loaded pinhole cameras and experience the developing process. The timing is adaptable to fit your event schedule. We use a table top All-in-One darkroom (similar to an Afghan Box Camera).

3: Night/Indoor Workshop
Ideal for night-time or office events, this workshop uses a tabletop darkroom, making it suitable for limited spaces. It can be combined with other options and customised to fit your specific needs. We supply 40W battery powered LED lights that are great for exposure times. 

4: Camera Obscura experience 
Discover the magical camera obscura. This is an optical device which is the ancestor of all modern cameras! Immerse yourself in the pop-up gazebo to learn how it all works and see the world in a new fascinating way.  Learn how to build your own DIY camera obscura from upcycled materials.

5: Workshops with Barge Fiodra
In partnership with Barge Fiodra, we offer unique on-water and off-water activities. Contact us to discuss tailored experiences and projects. More info

Participation Details:

Our classic pinhole camera workshop (1) can accommodate 10 participants per session, with the ability to run two sessions in one day. For larger groups, additional facilitators and resources can be arranged.

Pricing and Customisation:

Please contact us for a customised quote. Our workshop fee covers all materials, pre-production and post-production work, delivery,  transport and hire fees. We are also happy to discuss projects and partnerships in funding applications.
