Noel Park 140 - Celebrating 140 years in Noel Park

As part of Noel Park's 140th anniversary, PINHOLE LONDON collaborated with Noel Park Big Local to delivered 6 pinhole photography workshops exploring how the first photo was created, right around the time Noel Park was conceived.

Residents built their own pinhole cameras out of boxes, captured images and developed the photos on-site at Russell Park. The result was 200+ unique photographs. 152 are featured in a collaborative exhibition panel. 

A pinhole camera is the most basic form of camera possible & uses photographic paper loaded into a light-tight container. It works as a camera when light passes through a pinhole and projects onto the paper. 

The workshops were free and open to all.
