Pinhole Photography for Wellbeing
A social prescribing project in Haringey
We delivered 10 pinhole photography workshops over 12 months at locations including Wood Green Library, Winkfield Resource Centre, Shaftesbury Hall, and All Good Bookshop. One of the highlights of the project was a camera obscura installed at Wood Green library. The workshops improved self-esteem and reduced social isolation among adult participants. 117 people participated in the workshops, 220 pinhole photographs were created.

Inside the Camera Obscura, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing was real, it felt so peaceful. Through this tiny hole, magic unfolded as I watched live projections of people playing football and the beautiful chaos outside the library - Workshop participant, Wood Green Library
